IntellyTrack® is a new feature that starting from the firmware version V3.50 is firmly implemented.

With IntellyTrack® it concerns a dynamic, intelligent speed adjustment for both axes, which can be used also in connection with PEC! A function training as with PEC is not necessary however.

Function examples:

IntellyTrack® and tracking on planet, comets etc.:

By the free Tracking speed in both axes it is possible with IntellyTrack® to track on any object. Particularly tracking in DEC makes it possible to adjust comets and other objects more exactly and more reliably than with most conventional controls.

IntellyTrack® and tracking in Alt/Az:

Also telescopes with Alt/Az installing (e.g. Bino or Dobson) can be adjusted comfortably and reliably. IntellyTrack® is not Alt/Az tracking in the actual sense, however an tracking in Alt/Az can be realized with very few correction commands.

IntellyTrack® and tracking speed in RA:

Since IntellyTrack® is a dynamic system, the Tracking speed in RA can be adjusted by correction commands. A too fast or to slow Tracking speed becomes thus balanced by means of IntellyTrack®. In the autoguiding enterprise this is of great advantage.

IntellyTrack® and autoguiding:

Corrections in the autoguiding enterprise are only necessary with activated PEC if the tracking speed is not correct, or the mount is not correctly aligned. This knowledge uses IntellyTrack® around the speed with each correction to adapt. The advantages are obvious, because an adjustment of the speed leads to the fact that fewer corrections it becomes necessary and runs off the autoguiding evenly. In the best case IntellyTrack® adapts the speed until no corrections are more necessary. Since IntellyTrack® works dynamically, the speed remains also during a correction by Autoguider in the optimal range.

If IntellyTrack® is used together with PEC, a "intelligent" PEC develops!

IntellyTrack® and the reconciliation of the drift in DEC:

Aligment errors of installing lead to an emigration of an object in DEC. IntellyTrack® are able to compensate this "drift". In addition IntellyTrack® tracks against the DEC drift direction. Reconciliation functions also here perfectly dynamically, without attitude or training. IntellyTrack® learns the aligment error on the basis the corrections in DEC!

Intelligent Tracking with IntellyTrack®:

IntellyTrack® is a Trackingsystem, which learns on the basis the corrections (hand/auto) and which learned speed adapts perfectly dynamically during operation. IntellyTack® co-operates with all interfaces (hand, LX200 and ST-4) and learns with all corrections independently in addition. After the activation no further attitudes are necessary.

Function mode:

If IntellyTrack® is activated, it begins immediately with the learning process. From the difference between the tracking speed and the correction speed the necessary Tracking speed is determined. One corrects in Tracking direction, IntellyTrack® increases the speed, in opposite direction if necessary up to the stop is corrected in such a way slowed down. This adjustment takes place dynamically, so that with each correction only the preceding correction is corrected. Thus the adjustment takes place to that object which can be adjusted very fast, so that after short time no corrections will be more necessary.

Activation

In order to be able to use IntellyTrack®, as with GoTo a enable code is needed. This code must be entered and stored uniquely in the MCU configuration program. If this happened, stands to the intelligent Tracking with IntellyTrack® nothing more in the way.

IntellyTrack® can be activated over the serial interface or the hand controller update (with LittleFoot not necessarily).

The activation over the hand controller is done via repeated set on the adjusting speed. E.g. if tracking is adjusted to siderial, IntellyTrack® is activated and deactivated also - menu 2/key up. To the other tracking speeds appropriate applies

If uncertainty exists over the status of IntellyTrack®, then it can be deactivated by brief changing into any other tracking speed.
